Fake Reset fx9860

Postby Canta » Sat Mar 01, 2014 1:01 pm

Hello
I need a realistic fake reset program for the fx9860g2, maybe somebody knows one or has made one?

I searched a bit and found HULL by SimonLothar. That program would have perfect features, but unfortunately it seems that it doesn't work with the newer OS versions (I have 02.00.0200 - System error after "security key sequence").

I stopped further developing HULL. There have been concerns:

I'll be back!

Hello Canta, I am currently making one, since I also have the newer calculator version.
It will probably be uploaded with 2-3 days.

Sorry for the delay, I said 2-3 days but I was busy because I got an internship.
I'm still developing it though, I will be finished soon.
I've emulated the menu screen, and you can scroll through normally, and the mat and rset screen. But I haven't done the reset loading screen yet.

Hey guys,

I saw that you are both interested in making a fake reset program for the Casio FX9860Gii. I have searched a while, and found a little program written by Tontsa.
Here is the link: http://www.planet-casio.com/Uk/programs ... games.html
This app is made for the CFX series calculators though. So I made some little adjustments, and I have to say, that i will do the job maybe.

This program uses stored Captures. One of your menu, and one of a clear screen. You need to store the clear capture in capture 5, and the menu capture in capture 1. I made a clear capture by graphing the line -40 in the standard screen, and hiding the axes. I will share the program with you.

The only thing is that reset progress bar isn't displayed like it should look like. Maybe you can do something with this, and it may help you developing the ultimate program. I am looking forward to see the result, as I too have a exam that requires a realistic reset soon.

Here is my version of the program. Remember to store your captures first before use.

I am looking forward hearing from you soon.

teunater111, is that program written in BASIC? or C?
Also, how far away is your next exam, I'll try to finish it before then.

Here's what I have done so far:
http://www.filedropper.com/fakeos

Going into mat just displays a blinking cursor, and system display the menu correctly.
rset in system works, the popup boxes show up but it doesn't do anything when you click f1(yes), but f6(no) works fine.
I'm writing it in C using the Casio SDK.

Dear Viliami,

Your program looks good! you are nearly there. The program is written in Basic, can't you open it?
It seems that I am not able to open yours. I ran it on my calculator, and I really like it.

I really appreciate you are working on it for us all. My test is in 2,5 weeks from now. The program looks good, but i can think of one problem though.
The problem is that my teachers have the assignment to press [1 and 3 and AC/on] to get to the reset. If there was only one way to block that...
Oh well can't be a fully waterproof app i suppose.

I am looking forward to your program.

Teunater111, I think I will be able to emulate the "1 + 3 + [AC]" reset.
I will emulate the power off sequence, and then clear the screen, then when they press 1+3+[AC] I will just display the box on top of the previous menu state it was in.
I will definitely try and finish it before 2.5 weeks from now.

Wow, if you are able to do that that would be great! If it can display:
" Reset OK?
Initialize All
Yes:[F1]
No :[F6]"
In a box on top of the menu state it was in, then you that would be great!
Thank you for all your time and work you are putting into this! I think this would be appreciated very much.
Merry Christmas!
