Programing and Desktop Software

Postby mjawadmirza » Sun Jun 30, 2013 11:17 am

I have a Casio fx-9860 GII SD calculator. The software that came with its CD is expired (being trial version). I want to develop programs for Advance Statistics / Mathematics for the community / students. How can I get this software? Please guide. I need all possible options / guidance to utilizes this tool. I have a strong programming / teaching background and also familiar with old Casio fx-850P/880P programming pocket PCs. I also started learning 9860's programming.

Waiting for your quick response.

If you want program in casio basic, you can use the following emulator, is free:
Code: Select all
http://www.casio-europe.com/de/downloads/sgr/eActivities-engl.zip

Or alternative you can create your basic programs directly on-calc with the built in editor.

If you want program add-ins in C you can download the SDK from edu.casio.com. It is free, but you need register an account with a valid calculator serial ID to download it. Of course add-ins are much faster that casio basic programs. :D

Just be aware that the SDK doesn't like the Program Files(x86) folder x64 machines put it in, so put it in another folder. It happened to my system, and it wouldn't compile until I reinstalled it in another folder  .

I should also note that Windows 10 likes to think it's smarter than you and "corrects" Program Files to the (x86) variant
