[Solved] - ClassPad 400 software
Hi everyone...
I'm just waiting for my FX CP 400 but i'm using the software trial to get used to the calculator and I have already looked in the manual for that old menu that was used to solve simultaneous unkowns equations and i can't find that function...
Can you tell me where can i find that function in the ClassPad software?
If you don't know what I mean i explain with na exemple:
I have 3 equations with 3 unkowns...
And there was a menu in the old Casios that was called Equations, and inside this menu there were 3 options like 1 - polinomial, 2-simultaneous and 3-solve.
When we choose Simultaneous, I was asked for how many unkowns between 1 and 6.
Then i would place the coeficientes of each unknow for each equation and the result would come out in seconds...
I cna't find this anywhere in CP400 software...

Hi,
In Main, open the keyboard, and from Math1 menu tap twice on icon above 'tan' (Sim Eqns template expands with every tap... to as many vars as you need - 6 or 10 or ...)
Enter your 3 eqns in 3 boxes on left, enter 3 variables to solve for in single box (eg x,y,z) and tap EXE.
Easy!
To solve any single variable eqn in x (eg polynomials, exponentials, etc), just type it in, tap EXE and chuck solve on the next line, tap EXE.
Visit charliewatson.com/classpad and look at eActivities for some good ideas on solving stuff

Re: ClassPad 400 software
Hi.
Thanks a lot for replying...
And after I do hat, i should only enter the coeficientes or the whole expression?
In the old Casio We nly enter with the coeficientes in a matriz, like:
anX+bnY+cnZ=dn
2x+3y+4z=0
-x-5y+8z=0
3x+y/2+z=0
Then we had a 4x3 matrix where we would write the an, bn, cn and dn of each equation...
2 | 3 | 4 | 0
-1 |-5 |8 | 0
3 |1/2|1 | 0
Now it's quite different...

Re: ClassPad 400 software
But for some reason this is not working...
I want to solve this 3 equations:
3x+2y-12z=0
x/3+2x/9-12z=0
3x/2+y-6z=0
This equations should result in x = 3, y = 2 and z = 1 but the calculator is returning x = 2.4z, y = 2.4z e z = z...
Now the calculator is already giving a different result...

They certainly don't:
3*3+2*2-12*1=0 <=> 1=0 , which is wrong
3/3+2*2/9-12*1=0 <=> -95/9 = 0 , which is wrong
3*3/2+2-6*1=0 <=> 1/2 = 0 , which is wrong
Wow, looks like the solutions you think are right, actually don't fit in any of the equations of the simultaneous system!

Re: ClassPad 400 software
Yes you're right... I meant x=2, y=3 and z=1...
The system is right, I just wrote the values the wrong order...
3x2 + 2 x 3 - 12x1 = 0
1*2/3 + 2x3/9 -12x1/9 = 0
3x2/2 + 3 - 6 = 0
