You have to use MEMORY in the MAIN MENU.
Insert a SD card (file system: FAT) and copy the file/files to or from the SD card from or to storage memory or main memory.
The G/GII calculators support SD cards of 2 GB max.
GII-2 calculators support SD cards of 32 GB max.

I wonder if there is any cable etc solution to add sd to a prizm please even if it would mean creating a custom add-in to view or copy from it please?

The Prizm's PCB shows no signs of a SD-connector.

Interesting thing is, that the CP400's PCB features the same SD-connector-placeholder as the PCB of the good old fx-9860G slim.

But as they did not follow this idea with the slim, they probably won't follow it with the CP400.

I remember seeing a cable with 9v or so power connector and sd socket for adding sd on non-sd casios perhaps non-sd 9860 ones and wondered if that would work on prizm - i think the page was in french... I will post a link if i find it again. I'm not sure how if it worked over usb or 3-pin interface but assumed people would have adapted it by now for prizm if it was possible at all.

Found the link to that serial cable adding sd card http://www.util-pocket.com/casio/ but they no longer sell it - i wonder if it would work with prizm and non-sd version of 9860 calculator

While this product is discontinued i can find more capable UART to microsd boards accepting higher memory card capacity and wide voltage ranges but I wonder if the cardlist program they had for reading or copying sd card content was a separate add-in and how difficult or possible it would be to write one for prizm please. Many thanks for all your help and ideas on what can be done

If you have some SBC with SD(micro-SD)-slot and UART at hand, which already has a documented UART-SD-BIOS, it should be possible to develop some add-in for a Prizm or fx9860. Of course it could be a strenuous job. Depends on how sophisticated the SBC's UART-SD-BIOS is and how comfortable the add-in has to be.
If you would have to develop an UART-SD-BIOS with the SBC-development system, it would be still possible, but more than double strenuous.
