Which one is the best irc server?
UCF uses Afternet, but what would you consider to use?

I know that EFNet is sometimes unreliable...

The most popular irc server is EFNet (i think).
I have little experience with irc servers, protocol, etc... and I do not usually use.

Afternet is good and reliable, EFNet is popular.

You can also set up a php shoutbox instead.

I got it. Freenode is the biggest, there you can find support for FLOSS; Afternet is very small.
