Hello - I am new !

Postby 9750head » Wed Jul 10, 2013 11:33 am

Greetings,

I'm new to Casiopeia and have discovered your site through Casio Kingdom & Cemetech.
I am an electrician / designer and hobbyist programmer. I first learnt programming on a Commodore Pet, Vic20 and ZX81. I have programmed CNC machine tools and dabbled with PIC microcontrollers.
After a brief flirtation with HP calculators I now have a few 9750gII (Blue / White & White / Blue) and a pristine original and unhacked 9860G (2007) OS1.04.
Currently dabbling with SDK and BASIC.

Geez louise. I'd call that experience.

BTW: if you ever should have watched the first (and most impressive) Terminator movie, did you notice, that the assembler statements, which scrolled through the HUD of the T-800, are Z80-opcodes?
I'll be back!

Thanks !
Yes the first Terminator movie was the best. I think the machine code on the HUD was actually 6502 running very slowly indeed. A bit of a worry to think in 2030 we'll still be using 8 bit technology.

Let's see if I get this right: the rampaging killer machines and pitiful remnants of a population clinging to survival is not a big deal, but what really worries you is their use of 8 bit technology?
