Casio Scientific Calcs Tricks/Hacks (for fx-82MS and others)
In this thread are some tips to use with casio scientific calculators like fx-82MS.
They are present in many sites/videos, and I decided to collect them here
.

1. Turn On
2. Press 'SHIFT' Button
3. Press 'MODE' Button
4. Press 3
5. Press = Thrice
6. Turn Off Calculator (SHIFT then AC)

For the Detail Part:

5. Carfully delete the last number, then press 'DEL' once more to change into a new layout
6. Press 'SHIFT' Button once
7. Press 'DEL' Button once
8. Press 'DEL' Five times
9. Repeat the buttons: C (nCr Button) . (dot) * (*''' Button) . (dot)
aka -> C.*.
10. Do this until you see a 'h' with a line through its arm
11. Press RIGHT on Pad once
12. Hold LEFT on Pad till you reach the end
13. Press 'SHIFT' Button once
14. Press 'DEL' Button once
15. Press 8
What is it?: It is still unkown if it is a feature casio added, or just a technical flaw were the screen doesn't know what to display, because of the tampering with the calculators system. Does no harm to your calculator. To turn this off, press 'ON' Button. It is still hard to believe that such a detail has been found on a calculator, so would this be an easter egg leaked?
Casio Service Mode - (by error17)
1. Hold 'SHIFT' Button, as well as holding 7, then press 'ON' Button
2. Press 'SHIFT' Button repeatively until a 1 is the only thing displaying in the bottom right
3. Press 'ALPHA' Button
4. Press 'MODE' Button
5. Press LEFT on Pad
6. Press UP on Pad
7. Press RIGHT on Pad
8. Press all black scientific buttons on first row from left to right to display 10
9. Press DOWN on Pad
10. Press all black scientific buttons on second row from left to right to display 17
11. Press all buttons after second row from left to right in descending row order, till the last button is =
What is it?: It is a feature built, so that before packaging the calculator, an employee runs the test to make sure its working.

SiO2 + CaCO3 ----------> CaSiO3 + CO2
Re: Casio Scientific Calcs Tricks/Hacks (for fx-82MS and oth
Hey how do you get the * in c.*.?
BTW there's a funny video: casio fx 82ms trick to convert into fx 570 ms and do complex vectors and equation calculations
If you do this you can get other functions on the fx-82MS
And the video itself is very funny somehow too
