Ah, ok. smaller files seem less likely to do this than large ones, and ones in CP1252/ANSI seem less likely to do it than UTF-8. Just posted that in case it has any significance :)

I can reproduce the bug now. The main problem seem to be text parts, which do not contain any hard line breaks but exceed the visible range. If a reloaded block starts with such a line, the problem occurs. I remember that I avoided soft line break calculations as far as possible (especially when backtracking). Mistake! I will rewrite the reload algorithm following a different route.
I'll be back!

The bug is fixed. But I didn't reckon that the program would be used with files above 500kB. In fact meanwhile I enjoy reading one of my favourite books myself on the Prizm, which is a 1 MB file. Therefore it makes no sense to release a version without position indicator and without remember-the-last-postion-function. These are nearly done, but I like to make some validation before release of version 1.02.
After that the search-text-function will be implemented (version 1.03).
I'll be back!

Oh, wow, cool. Thanks. And yes, a scrollbar of some sort would be great. And the remember last position... all great ideas. Are you going to make a setup screen so that the user can choose whether or not to have it remember his last place? Or will it just be enabled by default?

I just released v1.02 (little readme included). http://www.casiopeia.net/forum/downloads.php?view=detail&df_id=2
But I have still more ideas (as well as some of you will have). F. i. the text search. Version 1.03 will follow soon.

Will 1.03 have the option to change the colors from magenta, white, and black to something else? Not really a necessary feature, but it would be cool. :)

EDIT: I see now that you can change the color of the UI. Question: The magenta rectangle in the upper-right corner of the screen stays magenta no matter what color is chosen. maybe this should be changed.

Yes, the present user interface is only a makeshift.

An image of a page in a book behind the text would be cool...

Maybe you should rename this to "ebook reader" :D
