Algy 2 is available for ClassPad II (fx-CP400)
Today was released a new version of the add-in Algy 2 (previously tested here) for Classpad II.
For those who still do not know, Algy2 is an application that is able to pinpoint any line of working (in resolution of equations, inequalities...) that contains an error. This application encourages experimentation and perseverance with symbolic manipulation (algebra).
It isn't free but it is inexpensive - $8 for a single copy, $120 for a school license and $150 for a school extended license which permits the software to be installed on all school and home computers of students and teachers.
There is a free trial version, but it doesn't have all of the features of the full version.
Below is a screenshot of the new version for classpad 400 and other of the version for classpad 300/300:
Even if you do not have a classpad 400 you can test the new version on classpad II emulator. You just need copy the .C2A program to Classpad Manager Home Folder. Is something like:

The trial versions of Algy2 for cp330+ and cp400 are identical, except for the filename (hence the cp400 supports the C1A-format (though a bit more strict as I noticed)).
Are the Algy2 full versions different?

The full version is activated after inserting a valid Name and Registration Code (File > Register) in Trial Version.
Some features previously locked (like Check: All vs Top, Check: All vs Previous, and some in Edit menu) after registration can be used in both versions.
I noticed that after registering, is created a new folder (locked) in Variable Manager with the name "algylcns" and with a file called "algy2lic" (locked) in both versions (c2a and cpa).

Re: Algy 2 is available for ClassPad II (fx-CP400)
I think I must retract this statement. Algy2.C2A obviously is kinda pseudo-addin. The cp400 checks the filename and some checksums to decide, if the Algy 2 icon is shown in the menu. I tried an empty, checksum-adjusted Algy2.C2A, which surprisingly did not crash on start, but (even more surprising) showed the Algy 2 start screen! The only explanation is, that the Algy 2 program resides inside of the OS. It is to fear, that the cp400 does not support addins at all. What a waste! What an incredible waste!SimonLothar wrote:...hence the cp400 supports the C1A-format...
