Classpad II fx-cp400 OS 2.00 announced
Casio Education Australia published recently on its website the announcement of the future OS 2.00 for Classpad II, which will be released in August.
Some of the main new features are:
3D Graphing is in my opinion the most awaited feature, particularly by former users of previous monochrome models (classpad 300/330...) that had this functionality. Taking into consideration the size of the screen, sliders & pinch zoom in graphs will be useful in the analysis of functions. Physium seems to be an interesting alternative to CPeriodic.

Some of the main new features are:
- Sliders & pinch zoom in graphs
- Interact with secants and chords in the new Interactive Differential Calculus application
- Plot the values of the tangent's slope and see the idea of a derivative function forming
- Explore the connection between a function and its derivative function
- Graphs can now be viewed horizontally
- 3D Graphing, with wire mesh and surface colouring
- Physium periodic table

Re: Classpad II fx-cp400 OS 2.00 announced
I just downloaded the update. Some notes:
1) All the stuff that was on my calc, including the history in "main", was intact after the update.
2) Physium is a separate download (a .c2a file) that you install after the OS update
3) To install Physium, I dropped the file onto the "root" of the calc in "flash mode" -- it shows up on page two of the menu.
4) 3D plot works, but rotation of the graph is a bit slow. Still, better than not having it.
5) Pinch to zoom works.
6) New manual is available, and all the new stuff is integrated into the document. I wish it had a "what's new" section, but I didn't see one.
All in all, it seems like a good update. Haven't noticed anything not working, but that will take time as I use the calc more.

the last update is OS 2.00.4000.0000 (September 2015).
It is possible, to draw a 3D-graphic with more than one surface, e.g. to draw a plane or more or to draw a ball in a cylinder and so on,
cp. http://www.informatik.htw-dresden.de/~p ... mplett.pdf or
http://www.informatik.htw-dresden.de/~p ... linder.pdf
However you have to define the 3D-equations outside of the 3D-editor, e.g. in the Main-menu or in an eActivity outside of a 3D-strip.
Inside of the 3D-editor it is only possible to define one active surface or plane or curve.

Version 02.01.1000.0000 is available (not sure for how long). Does anyone knows the details of this OS update?
