It would be pretty cool if someone had the file.
I tried myself to backup the new update to the OS from a fx-9860GII USB Power Graphic 2 (that belongs to a friend) but fx-remote gave me the link error. (Which didn't happen before the calculator was updated.) So it's pretty weird, but if someone can do it it would be great.

Re: fx-9860GII 2.04 OS to fx-9860G/9750GII
I haven't yet heard of a link error with OS 2.04 but haven't been that active regarding casio hacking in the last weeks too.
Maybe casio tried to secure their calcs against downloading of the OS or it's just some weird timing error (there are problems with xfer9860 with the new calcs too), but there are other ways to solve this problem:
Some years ago there was a thread about this on the UCF. I think it was vanhoa (a retired programmer), who came with the solution of simple dumping the OS into a file on the sd-card. Somehow I can't find that thread right now...
If you only have a fx9860GII Power Graphic 2 without sd-card available, simply split the dump in parts and download them with FA-124.
Are you confident with the SDK or shall I write a sample program for you?
Regards,
afxi

I don't have the SD version, but if you could give a straightforward idea of how to do it for the normal version it would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

As I said, the calculator belonged to a friend so I don't have it. So afxi I would be pretty happy if you could explain how to do it avoiretre(because I don't know how to do it).
Thanks a lot anyway.

Guess what guys I found the file for the 2.04 OS !!!!
Just contact me through PM and I can send you the file.
The zip contains 2 files, the update for the calculators with SH3 CPU (doesn't work with the fx-9860G Slim), and one for the fx-9750GII which has the SH4 CPU.
In my calculator everything is running as it should.

I tried sending a PM but it didn't want to work... would it be at all possible for me to get that from you, CookieJaws? Thanks!

Re: fx-9860GII 2.04 OS to fx-9860G/9750GII
According to a user called "Team FX" (found on multiple Casio forums), 2.04 (which my fx-9750GII came with, although without natural display) removes the functionality to backup ROMs, although new ROMs can be flashed over it.
@CookieJaws - Gonna try send a PM your way.

I managed to find the FLS files. Since I am not linking to a download page and only to another forum, Casiopeia cannot be held liable for copyright violations: http://www.planet-casio.com/Fr/forums/t ... teurs.html

CookieJaws,
PM would not send!
I'm trying to upgrade my fx-9860g SD to OS 2.04
I saw your post about doing this.
Can you send me the files (and any instruction you might have)?
Many, many thanks
Regards
Gerard
