Hello there!
Hello!
Age: 17
Location: Stuttgart, Germany
Ocupation: Student, obviously
Hobbies: Piano, Chess, Programming
I use the fx-9860GII calculator.
---
I have my fx-9860GII for three years now, and was never really able to code anything useful with the SDK. I could need some help.
I already programmed in C, C++, C#, Basic and ASM.

Re: Hello there!
Hello and welcome!
Good to see you here.
One advice I give is to start with something small/medium to explore the API/functions and only then start something more ambitious (if you want to start with fx9860 sdk).
First Steps with sdk:
1)Download and install fx9860 sdk, read documentation...
2)Compile a "Hello World" to verify that the SDK is operational.
3)Choose what you want to create (a game?, a program?, etc)...
4)Start coding, draw sprites, etc...
useful resources for developers:
monochromelib by pierrotll - monochrome graphic functions (like draw lines, etc)
revolution fx by kucalc - grayscales
mylib by hayzel - useful functions...
fx_calculators_SuperH_based.chm by SimonLothar - tech info, syscalls
5)Test, shearch/fix bugs, optimize the code...
If you need help, you can ask in the "Casio fx-9860 SDK" subforum.
Just out of curiosity you've programmed in x86 asm or other?

Re: Hello there!
Hello,
I could use one more advice - is there something like a reference of all commands that can be used?
I coded in ASM for the Intel 8008 (without any practical use, just for educational purposes).

Re: Hello there!
You can download a reference with the SDK from the official casio side (it is a pdf).

Re: Hello there!
Hello Casimo,
yes, I already read a few times that a reference is available over at the official site, but I never found it.
Could you provide a link to it? That would be nice - I already spent a lot of time searching for it.
EDIT: I just found a zip with the reference in it.
